The Anolon Advanced hard anodized cookware is a set of cookware that will provide you with every piece for your kitchen you need. This set isn’t all good or all bad, so it will just depend on what you’re looking for as to whether or not this is the right set for you.
Firstly, the set is priced at $288.49, which is a bit higher than most hard anodized cookware sets that you’ll find, but it’s definitely not the highest that we’ve found either. The set includes: a 3 quart saucepan with lid; a 1 ½ quart saucepan with lid; a 3 quart sauté pan with lid; an 8 inch skillet; a ten inch skillet; and an 8 quart stockpot with lid. The 8 quart stockpot is particularly impressive, as this is about the size you should be looking for if you want a deep stockpot.
The lids are also made of tempered glass and have steam vents built into them, so you never have to take the lid off to peak at what you’re cooking. What’s even more impressive about these lids is that they’re domed, to be stylish, and they’re break-resistant. So you can bang them around as much as you’d like, and they won’t be the worse for the wear.
The Anolon Advanced set of hard anodized cookware does come with an Autograph non-stick coating. Having a coating inside the pots and pans isn’t unusual in cookware of this kind but it isn’t recommended. This can damage the pots, especially if you forget and jam a metal utensil in there, scraping and chipping the coating.
The set is heat resistant up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about average for what you can expect from this kind of cookware. It also needs to be washed by hand, which is also typical among hard anodized cookware. The handles of the cookware are stainless steel, but they do have the added benefit of having silicone inserts so the handles don’t get too hot when they’re in the oven, and your hand won’t get burnt when you’re in a hurry and grab them on the stove.
The Anolon Advanced hard anodized cookware definitely does have its benefits, as well as a couple of drawbacks. The interior coating is of the most concern, as this can chip and flake off, and it’s not even a very recognizable coating, so it’s hard to be certain as to how durable it is.
